This lead planter carries an interpretation of a Celtic interlaced pattern that features on the Ulbuster Stone, Caithness. The design differs from the original, because it has been repeated four times and joined together. The wooden panels for this lead planter have been hand-carved with a scalpel by Glyn Brawn. The panels were then cast in oiled sand, before being welded together and fettled. This foundry-cast lead planter has been traditionally handmade in England by Heritage Lead Planters.
