Having identified a "Dog Roses" cistern online, I called Glyn and confirmed the manufacturing time-frame & cost to deliver to Northern Ireland. Glyn was most helpful and having a agreed a price for delivery, I paid for the product. During the production stage I received two emails showing my cistern as it was being made. Delivery was as scheduled and was extremely well boxed. The cistern is an amazing work of art and a credit to Glyn and his team. We ordered two Arts and Crafts lead planters and HLP agreed a convenient delivery date. When they arrived we were so keen to see them but first had to disassemble the substantial wooden structure they were shipped in. We have never received anything quite so well packaged. Once we had unscrewed the timber structure that secured them in their lined pallet based box, we positioned them on our patio and popped two hanging baskets in the planters just to see how they looked. They are wonderful and a perfect addition to our garden. We love the Dog Roses design and especially how the leaves climbing over the lip were crafted. They will no doubt look even better when planted up properly and best of all they will last decades and be ageing gracefully when most of our other planters will be chipped, split by roots or frost and on landfill sites. I acquired a Floral Spray lead window box in 2024 and was hugely impressed by the detail and artisanship, especially given the very modest price. The website explains that they are an arts-based firm, focused on the inherent beauty of the material, the importance of nature as inspiration, and the value of simplicity, utility, and beauty. Those claims are amply justified. I had no hesitation in buying another item, a Medici Trough, in 2025. These truly combine beauty with functionality. I should also mention Glyn’s amazing customer service. He delivered from Kent to the Midlands, personally, on a Sunday morning. I would recommend this firm wholeheartedly and on every front. I worked with Glyn to make the most beautiful lead planter which he engraved with initials and dates to celebrate the life of my father. It was a lovely tribute and he was so helpful and considerate throughout the whole process. We planted with spring flowers and a magnolia stellate and it stands pride of place in the garden.
