OAK GREEN MAN LEAD PLANTER

This is our finely crafted Oak Green Man Lead Planter, handmade in foundry-cast solid lead and expertly finished by hand. Each of the four panels show the face of the Green Man, a classic foliate face with oak leaves and acorns growing from the mouth and eyes. Although undoubtedly pagan in origin the Green Man somehow made it into the church as a popular christian decorative motif and can be seen staring down at us from hundreds of churches and cathedrals across the country. With his calm demeanour our Green Man lead planters are bound to be the centre of attention in your garden.

HAWTHORN GREEN MAN LEAD PLANTER

This lead planter is our smaller version of the Hawthorn Green Man. This foundry-cast lead planter has all four sides showing the face of the Green man surrounded by hawthorn leaves and berries, and even a finch nestled into his leafy beard. The ecclesiastical Green Man has many interpretations, as a warning not to allow nature to overcome oneself, as a reminder that one day we shall be laid in the ground and life shall grow from our remains. However, as a symbol of nature and regeneration he is a fitting motif for a solid lead planter where your plants can grow and thrive year after year.
