The Empire solid lead planter has a discreet design consisting of ribbon tied into a bow on a floral wreath flanked by sprigs of laurel. This makes a charmingly restrained planter that will show off your plants to their full beauty. Flowers and especially ribbons became synonymous with adornment and decoration, so artisans would replicate these embellishments in wood or metal to show off their skills, to lift their work from merely utilitarian and provide the owner with a visual feast.
