LEAD CISTERN

A traditional lead cistern was used as a means of collecting rainwater. This cistern is traditionally sand-cast from hand-cut wooden patterns before being welded together and fettled. This foundry-cast lead cistern has been traditionally handmade in England by Heritage Lead Planters.
