ARTS & CRAFTS DOG ROSES SQUARE LEAD PLANTER

The blooms, hips and leaves weave a dense, wild pattern across the panels that is eye catching at any distance. The pattern is based on one of the loveliest, most enduring flowers of the hedgerow, the dog rose (Rosa canina), which is also known as the ‘wild rose’ or ‘witches briar’.
Because of its hardy nature and its faint, sweet scent, the dog rose has carved a deep cultural niche within our society; in mediaeval heraldry, in folklore, in symbolism and medicine. Whatever the reason, we love this flower and give it pride of place on this striking lead planter that will look beautiful in your garden.

ARTS AND CRAFTS BESPOKE LEAD PLANTER

As an increasing number of our customers require their lead planters to be personalised with names and dates, we have created a variation of the Arts and Crafts pattern to easily accommodate personalisation.
We do not use standard foundry letters to create the patterns, therefore each block of text is sized to fit exactly within the panels. Each panel is then individually sand-cast with your chosen wording in place.
To simplify pricing, the lead planter itself is priced at £1,000, with a £10 pattern making charge for each letter. As the text appears on all four sides of the lead planter, this works out at £2.50 for each letter. Large numbers are priced at £30 each for pattern making.
In the 348 Regency Drive, Millfield example, the planter is £1,000. Three large numbers are £90 and £210 for 21 letters. Therefore, the price of this planter would be £1,300.

ARTS & CRAFTS LEAD PLANTER

Our Arts & Crafts inspired solid lead planter exhibits all the traits and ethos of the English Arts & Crafts Movement as exemplified by the designs of artists such as William Morris. This square tapered lead planter has been decorated with hand-sculpted dog roses on each of the four faces. The upward flare of the planter gives it an unusual elegance, which allows the planted surface to be much larger than the base, allowing for enormous versatility in the number and variety of plants it can accommodate. This finely crafted planter has been traditionally handmade in England by Heritage Lead Planters.
